FAQs
-
No. Drone search is an assistance service and does not guarantee location, recovery, capture, or outcome. Search success can depend on time elapsed, weather, terrain, animal movement, canopy cover, thermal contrast, access, and many other factors.
-
Thermal drones detect heat signatures from above. Under the right conditions, they can help identify possible animals, people, or other heat sources in fields, woods edges, pastures, brush, or rural areas. Thermal imagery is most effective when there is good temperature contrast between the subject and surrounding environment.
-
Thermal search is often most effective during cooler periods, such as early morning, evening, overnight, or cooler weather conditions. Heavy canopy, warm ground, rain, fog, thick cover, or direct sunlight heating the terrain can reduce effectiveness.
