Pre-Mowing Wildlife Scans
Pre-mowing wildlife scans help farmers and landowners identify possible wildlife heat signatures in fields before mowing, cutting, or field work.

Protect Wildlife Before Field Work
Young wildlife can remain hidden in tall grass and hayfields. Drone-based thermal scanning may assist in identifying possible heat signatures before mowing begins, giving landowners and equipment operators an opportunity to pause, inspect, and respond appropriately.
Best Use Cases
Pre-mowing scans may be useful for:
Hayfields
Tall grass fields
Corn fields
Pastures before cutting
Field edges
Wildlife-sensitive areas
Fawn season
Early morning field checks
How It Works
We conduct an aerial scan of the field under appropriate conditions. If possible heat signatures are observed, the location can be communicated to the landowner or field operator for follow-up.
Handling, relocation, or wildlife intervention should only be performed where lawful and appropriate.
Best Timing
Thermal scans are often most effective in cooler conditions before the field and ground heat up. Early morning is commonly preferred for pre-mowing scan work.
Important Limitations
Thermal scanning does not guarantee detection of all wildlife. Conditions such as warm ground, thick vegetation, rain, heavy cover, terrain, and animal movement can affect results.
